Bios

• Ms Jennifer

  Ms. Jennifer has been owner of The Goddard School in Southport since its opening in 2002. She has 2 beautiful girls who both attended The Goddard School. Her background is in business, but her passion for early childhood development led her to open The Goddard School. Ms. Jennifer strives to provide an outstanding program by combining the best possible equipment and professionally educated staff in an environment specifically designed for young children.

• Ms Megan

  Ms. Megan is the director. Her degree is in Early Childhood Education from Ivy Tech. She has been with The Goddard School since 2008. She has a son and a daughter, both of which attended The Goddard School. Ms. Megan is dedicated to giving children a love of learning in a safe and secure environment. One of her favorite aspects of her title is collaborating with teachers and guiding them to resources to expand their knowledge in current best practices.

• Ms Candi

  Ms. Candi is the Assistant Director. She has a current Child Development Associates through The Council for Professional Recognition. She started working at Goddard in 2008. Ms. Candi enjoys working alongside parents, teachers and children to ensure open, honest and encouraging relationships throughout children's journey in our program.

• Ms Aimee

  Ms. Aimee is the lead teacher in our Shark Junior Kindergarten classroom. She has her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Franklin College. Ms. Aimee started working at Goddard in 2013. She is an expert in utilizing The Goddard School's curriculum to balance preparing students for Kindergarten, while also allowing them to participate in fun, hands-on experiences!

• Ms Colleen

  Ms. Colleen is the Lead Teacher in our Beluga Infant classroom. She has an Early Childhood Education Degree from Ivy Tech Community College! She started working at Goddard in 2010. Ms. Colleen enjoys working with infants to promote their mastery of early communication, physical and cognitive skills.

• Ms Megan

  Ms. Megan is the lead teacher in our Seahorse Pre-kindergarten classroom. She has her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Franklin College. She started at Goddard in 2016. Ms. Megan is accomplished in creating lesson plans that allow students to learn at their own pace in an environment designed to develop their self-esteem, confidence and creativity!

• Ms Samantha

  Ms. Sammie is the lead teacher in our Octopus Bridge classroom. She has completed training in Indiana Early Learning Paths Health & Safety Training, Indiana Early Learning Foundations, and the Indiana Early Learning Paths Child Development Training. Ms. Sammie started with Goddard in 2021. Her lesson plans utilize fun and creativity to foster a love of learning.

• Ms Savannah

  Ms. Savannah is the lead teacher in our Turtle Twos classroom. She is currently attending Ivy Tech Community College studying Early Childhood Education. She started with Goddard in 2021. Ms. Savannah enjoys creating student experiences tailored to meet the needs of each child in their toddler stage of development.

• Ms Shawna

  Ms. Shawna is the lead teacher in our Lobster Preschool classroom. She has pursued a degree in Early Childhood Education through Ivy Tech. She started working with Goddard in 2013. Ms. Shawna enjoys leading learning activities that promote student inquiry and discovery through exploring the world around them.

• Shelbie

  Ms. Shelbie is the lead teacher in our First Steps Toddler classroom. She has a bachelor's degree and is currently taking nursing classes as well. Ms. Shelbie has completed training in Indiana Early Learning Paths Health & Safety Training, Indiana Early Learning Foundations, and the Indiana Early Learning Paths Child Development Training. She started with Goddard in April 2025. Ms. Shelbie loves working with our pre-toddlers to foster trust and safety, setting the stage for their lifelong relationships.

• Abby

  Ms. Abby is the assistant teacher in our Lobster Preschool classroom. She has completed training in Indiana Early Learning Paths Health & Safety Training, Indiana Early Learning Foundations, and the Indiana Early Learning Paths Child Development Training. She started with Goddard in early 2023. Ms. Abby has enjoyed learning to implement the Goddard Curriculum allowing students to develop skills through inquiry and play.

• Alison

  Ms. Alison is the assistant teacher in our Octopus Bridge classroom. She has completed training in Indiana Early Learning Paths Health & Safety Training, Indiana Early Learning Foundations, and the Indiana Early Learning Paths Child Development Training. She started with Goddard in early 2023. Ms. Alison's encouraging attitude promotes continued growth in students' positive self-esteem when transitioning from Get Set to a more challenging Preschool program.

• Amie

  Ms. Amie is the lead teacher in our Dolphin Toddler classroom. She has completed training in Indiana Early Learning Paths Health & Safety Training, Indiana Early Learning Foundations, and the Indiana Early Learning Paths Child Development Training. Ms. Amie started with Goddard in March 2023. In Ms. Amie's classroom, you can be sure your student is in an environment that is calm, warm and loving!

• Anna

  Ms. Anna is the assistant teacher in our First Steps Toddler classroom. Ms. Anna has completed training in Indiana Early Learning Paths Health & Safety Training, Indiana Early Learning Foundations, and the Indiana Early Learning Paths Child Development Training. She started with Goddard in March 2024. Ms. Anna loves working in this age group and finds the giggles, smiles and energy of 1-year olds so rewarding.

• Jasmine

  Ms. Jasmine is the assistant teacher in our Starfish Twos program. She has pursued a degree in Elementary Education through IUPUI. She started with Goddard in 2023. Ms. Jasmine enjoys facilitating children to find the wonder of learning in everyday activities.

• Lillian

  Ms. Lillian is an assistant teacher at The Goddard School of Southport. She holds an associate’s degree in business and has completed key early childhood education trainings through Indiana Early Learning Paths, including Health & Safety Training, Indiana Early Learning Foundations, and Child Development Training. Ms. Lillian brings a strong commitment to supporting young learners and creating a positive, enriching classroom environment.

• Ms Mikayla

  Ms. Mikayla is a teacher in our Beluga infant classroom. She has pursued a degree in Elementary Education through IUPUI. She started with Goddard in 2018. Ms. Mikayla enjoys working with all stages of learning fostering the development of independence and learning at children's individual paces!

• Raigan

  Ms. Raigan is an assistant teacher in our Turtle Twos classroom. She is currently enrolled in Elementary Education courses and has completed educational trainings through Indiana Early Learning Paths, including Health & Safety Training, Indiana Early Learning Foundations, and Child Development Training. Ms. Raigan loves facilitating toddlers' development in their social and emotional intelligence as they learn to navigate relationships and express their emotions.

• Sarah

  Ms. Sarah is an assistant teacher within our school and works most days in our infant classroom. She also fills in for teacher vacations and prep sessions. She has completed comprehensive training through Indiana Early Learning Paths, including Health & Safety Training, Indiana Early Learning Foundations, and Child Development Training. Ms. Sarah started with Goddard in April 2024. She finds working with infants so rewarding because it's an opportunity to be a positive influence during their crucial early development.

• Shayna

  Ms. Shayna is the assistant teacher in our Seahorse Pre-kindergarten classroom. She has completed training in Indiana Early Learning Paths Health & Safety Training, Indiana Early Learning Foundations, and the Indiana Early Learning Paths Child Development Training. Ms. Shayna started with Goddard in January 2023. She enjoys leading a variety of activities to help students develop a feeling of independence.

• Taiylor

  Ms. Taiylor is an assistant teacher within our school. She fills in for teacher vacations and prep sessions. She has completed comprehensive training through Indiana Early Learning Paths, including Health & Safety Training, Indiana Early Learning Foundations, and Child Development Training. Ms. Taiylor started with Goddard June 2024. She enjoys working with all ages to really witness the progression of growth from the start of our program to those students graduating.

• Taylin

  Ms. Taylin is the teacher in our Starfish Twos classroom. She has completed courses in Education as well as training in Indiana Early Learning Paths Health & Safety Training, Indiana Early Learning Foundations, and the Indiana Early Learning Paths Child Development Training. Ms. Taylin started with us in 2023. Her ready to go personality promotes excitement in students and parents when transitioning to school!

• Bryce

  Mr. Bryce is the dedicated cook at The Goddard School of Southport. A proud former student of the school, he attended during his Pre-K year and later graduated from Whiteland Community High School. Mr. Bryce is passionate about providing nutritious, child-friendly meals and takes special care to accommodate food allergies and dietary needs, ensuring every child’s safety and well-being.
