Description
Dr. Chekkilla was born and raised in Hyderabad, India. After attending medical school at Kakatiya Medical College in India, she finished her residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan. She is board certified in family medicine and practiced in North Vernon, Indiana for three years before joining Community Physician Network in 2014. It is a rewarding experience for Dr. Chekkilla to take care of patients of all ages. She believes that each individual patient is unique, and as a family physician she focuses on treating the patient as a whole and not just a disease or illness. She has a special interest in preventive medicine and treatment of chronic medical problems. Dr. Chekkilla has two children and loves spending time with them. She enjoys art, literature and traveling.
